Snickerdoodles

Happy October, friends!

It's hard to believe it is October, particularly when our
weather is still very hot, sticky, and humid.

But, October it is. In celebration, we need a
"fall cookie" to kick off the month!

Snickerdoodles

Heat oven:
350 degrees convection oven
or
400 degrees conventional oven

Measure together in bowl and set aside:
2 3/4 cups Flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt

In mixing bowl, cream together:
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs

After creaming butter mixture, slowly mix in flour mixture.

Mix together in small bowl:
3 Tbs granulated sugar
2 tsp cinnamon

(ummm...just a little side note here.  Yes, that is a
Thomas the Tank Train bowl.
The sweet little boy who loved and used it is now 21. . . *sniff*)

okie dokie...back to reality!
Shape cookies in 1" balls:
roll in sugar cinnamon mixture
and place 2" apart on baking sheet

Bake for 8-10 minutes.
(Mine were perfect @ 8 minutes in a 350 Convection Oven)

Pour yourself a tall glass of cold milk
 and Enjoy!

Don't forget to share!

you are loved
